For if a woman will not cover her head, she should cut her hair short. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut short or have her head shaved (xyrasthai | ξυρᾶσθαι | pres mid inf ), she should cover her head.
but any wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered disgraces her head, for it is one and the same as a woman who has her head shaved (exyrēmenē | ἐξυρημένῃ | perf pass ptcp dat sg fem).
Take these men and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses that they may shave (xyrēsontai | ξυρήσονται | fut mid ind 3 pl) their heads, and everyone will know that there is nothing in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself walk keeping the law.
