TekniaGreek

Introduction

We are pleased to give away our Greek font, TekniaGreek. It follows our standard mapping initiative.

  • It is identical on the Macintosh and Windows computers as well as on the web.
  • It is absolutely free without any restrictions, both its design and its mapping -- we would encourage you to adopt it in your writing, programming, and web sites.

Download the latest version of the font

Download the Macintosh TrueType font for System X (version 1.4, 7/12/2004). The free Stuffit Expander is required to decompress the file. Decompress the file and put the font into the "Library/Fonts" directory.

Download the Macintosh Postscript font for System 8-9 (version 1.4, 7/12/2004). The free Stuffit Expander is required to decompress the file. Decompress the file and put the font into the "System Folder/Fonts" directory.

Download a program that will install TekniaGreek into Windows 95-XP (version 1.3, 7/9/2004) and leave a second copy in your Teknia directory.

Download the keyboard layout

Download the PDF file that shows you the keyboard layout where all the Greek characters are located. This pdf shows only the keystrokes that are the same in Macintosh, Windows, and the web.

Download the PDF file that shows you the keyboard layout that shows all the specialty accents on the Macintosh version. (You can access these specialty fonts in Word on Windows using the Insert menu, but Teknia cannot answer your support questions on how to do this. Sorry.) Download a second PDF file that describes all the specialty accents.

You will need Adobe's free Acrobat Reader to read the PDF document (unless you are using System X on the Macintosh).
